There is nothing quite like a weekend getaway before summer comes to an end! I decided to treat myself to a trip to the sunny beaches of Florida where I did nothing but peacefully relax at a quaint bungalow by the ocean’s shore. A local woman and her daughter approached me on the beach during lunch with the tastiest “salad” made fresh from the papaya trees grown by her home! Her daughter created the most wonderful presentation by stacking cut papaya, juicy watermelon, crisp cucumber slices and a touch of freshly squeezed lime juice in a watermelon bowl. I sat perfectly content indulging in my afternoon snack!
